About Greater Anglia
Greater Anglia runs trains from London Liverpool Street to Essex, Suffolk, Norfolk and Cambridgeshire, including Chelmsford, Colchester, Ipswich, Norwich and Cambridge.
Greater Anglia has been in public ownership since 12 October 2025, run by the government's DfT Operator.
Good to know on Greater Anglia
- Delays are measured against the planned, advertised timetable, so compensation is not usually paid during pre-planned engineering works or when replacement buses run.
- Greater Anglia won't normally accept a claim if you were told about the delay before your journey.
- If another company caused the delay, claim from them. If you send it to Greater Anglia by mistake, it passes the claim on and tells you who has it.
- If you miss a connection and the next train is more than 60 minutes later, Greater Anglia will arrange other transport to your destination.
