Terms of Use
Last updated 14 October 2026.
About these terms
These terms apply when you use railhop.app or the Railhop app. Railhop is run by KMR Digital Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company no. 17516682), trading as Railhop (registered office: 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ) ("we"). By using Railhop you agree to them. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data.
What Railhop is
Railhop is a free tool that helps you find delayed train journeys and prepare your own Delay Repay claims. It can check train times, keep your journeys and claims, and fill in a train company's claim form for you to check.
- Railhop is independent. It is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, any train company, National Rail, Network Rail or Transport for London (TfL).
- We don't act for you. We never submit claims, and we aren't your agent or representative with any train company or TfL.
- We don't take any fee or share of your compensation.
Your claims are your responsibility
- You submit every claim yourself, on the train company's own form. Check every detail before you submit: you are responsible for it being true and complete.
- Only claim for journeys you actually made, with a valid ticket. Claiming for a journey you didn't make, or giving false details, is fraud and can lead to prosecution.
- Each train company decides whether to pay, how much and how, under its own Delay Repay rules. We can't guarantee you'll get any compensation, or that our estimate of it is right.
Train times may be wrong
Train times and delays come from National Rail, Network Rail and Realtime Trains, and journeys Railhop detects or matches (for example from a TfL statement) are best guesses. They can be incomplete, late or wrong. Check the times and the train before you claim; the train company's records decide your claim.
Claim forms and TfL's website
"Fill the form for me" and "Get my statement from TfL" open the train company's or TfL's own website inside the app. Their terms and privacy policies apply to what you do there. Railhop fills in details you've given it, but you must check them, and you add any payment details and press submit yourself. We aren't responsible for those websites, for changes to them, or for a form not being filled correctly.
Using Railhop fairly
Please don't:
- use Railhop to make false or duplicate claims, or for anything unlawful;
- scrape it, overload it, get around its limits, or access it automatically other than through features we provide;
- try to break into accounts or our systems, or interfere with other people's use;
- sign up if you're under 16, or use someone else's account.
You're responsible for keeping access to your email and devices secure. We may suspend or close an account, or limit access, if we reasonably believe these terms are being broken.
A free service that may change
Railhop is free and provided "as is". We may change, pause or stop any part of it at any time, and it may not always be available or free of errors. If we plan to close Railhop, we'll try to give account holders notice so they can download their data. You can stop using Railhop and delete your account at any time.
Our liability
- Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that UK law doesn't allow us to limit or exclude. Nothing affects your legal rights as a consumer.
- As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for compensation you didn't get, a claim being late, rejected or wrong, decisions made by train companies or TfL, wrong train data, or losses we couldn't reasonably have foreseen.
- Railhop is for personal use, not for business use.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms; the date at the top shows when. If a change matters, we'll tell account holders by email or in the app. If you keep using Railhop after that, the new terms apply.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes go to the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts.
