What it is
An app that finds the Delay Repay you're owed and fills in the claim form for you, with a website to check journeys and see your claims. The app also gives train times, disruption alerts and a stop alarm.
Price
Free. No cut of refunds and no adverts. Refunds go from the train company, or TfL, straight to the passenger.
Where
The website works in any web browser. The iPhone app is coming soon to the App Store. The Android app is in closed testing and not yet public. The browser extension is available for Chrome, on a computer.
Coverage
Railhop checks delays on all 30 train companies with a Delay Repay scheme, from National Rail's train data. It fills in the claim forms of 28 of them in the iPhone app and with the browser extension on a computer. It doesn't fill in TfL's own delay refunds for the Elizabeth line and London Overground, which you claim in your TfL account. It also finds forgotten tap-outs on Contactless & Oyster for TfL to refund.
How claims work
Railhop fills in the train company's own form. The passenger checks it and presses submit. Railhop never submits for them, only offers claims for journeys people actually made, and uses one ticket for one claim.
Privacy
Ticket photos stay on the passenger's phone unless they choose to send one to help improve photo reading. Bank details, if the passenger saves them, are kept in their Railhop account, encrypted, only to fill the train company's payment step, and Railhop emails them whenever the details change. Railhop never sees the TfL password and never sells personal data.
Who makes it
Railhop is built and run by an independent developer in the UK.
Company
Railhop is a trading name of KMR Digital Ltd (company no. 17516682), UK. Independent: not owned by any train company, National Rail or TfL.
Data
Live train data powered by National Rail Enquiries, with TfL open data and Network Rail open data.

Money left unclaimed
55% of passengers with an eligible delay didn't claim for it. For delays of 15 to 29 minutes, only 34% claimed. The survey asked about each passenger's most recent eligible delay, so these are estimates, not a count of claims.
