About

Railhop is an automated Delay Repay service for train journeys in Great Britain. It finds your delayed trains, from your tickets, your contactless or Oyster statement and journey detection in the iPhone app, works out what you're owed, and fills in the train company's own claim form. You check it and press submit: Railhop never submits claims.

What this is

Railhop is a free tool for rail passengers. It looks up how your train actually ran from National Rail's Darwin data feed (and, for older journeys, Realtime Trains and National Rail's historical records) and works out the delay at your destination against that train company's own Delay Repay rules. In the Railhop iPhone app it then opens the train company's claim form and fills it in, remembering your details for next time.

Railhop checks delays on all 30 train companies with a Delay Repay scheme, from National Rail's train data. It fills in the claim forms of 28 of them in the iPhone app and with the browser extension on a computer. It doesn't fill in TfL's own delay refunds for the Elizabeth line and London Overground, which you claim in your TfL account. See each train company.

Used Delay Repay Sniper? Railhop is the modern way to claim: it finds your delays and fills in the form, and you stay in control of the claim. Read what happened to Delay Repay Sniper.

Paid by contactless or Oyster? Add your TfL statement and Railhop checks every train journey on it. Your journeys, whether the app detected them, they came from a TfL statement or a ticket, or you added them, stay in one list with each claim's deadline.

On a train? Track My Train uses your location to find the train you're on and follows it: its next stop and how late it's running. Positions between stations are Railhop's own estimates from National Rail's Darwin data.

Where you can use it

  • The website works in any web browser.
  • The iPhone app is coming soon to the App Store.
  • The Android app is in closed testing and not yet public.
  • The browser extension is available for Chrome, on a computer.

What this is not

  • Not a claims-management company. We are not regulated under the Claims Management Regulation regime.
  • Not your agent. Railhop never submits claims on your behalf and has no authority to act for you with any train operator. Delay Repay Sniper, an older service, could submit claims for its users; Railhop leaves that step to you.
  • Not affiliated with any train operator. This tool is entirely independent of every train company, National Rail and their parent companies.
  • No fee from your payout. We take nothing from whatever compensation you receive. This is a productivity tool, not a middleman service.

Who makes it

Railhop is built and run by an independent developer in the UK. Railhop is a trading name of KMR Digital Ltd (company no. 17516682), UK. It is not backed by any train company. Anyone can create an account (for keeping your journeys and claims) with just an email address. If you have questions or feedback, use the contact form or email hello@railhop.app. Journalists: see the press page.

How the facts are checked

  • Each train company's Delay Repay rules, forms and time limits come from its own pages and the National Rail Conditions of Travel, and were last checked on 6 October 2026. Each Delay Repay guide shows the day it was checked and links its sources.
  • The frequently asked questions were last checked on 13 October 2026, and the press fact sheet on 12 October 2026. Questions that rely on an outside rule name it.
  • How late each train ran comes from National Rail's live and historical data. Where a figure is an estimate, the page says so.
  • If something here doesn't match a train company's own page, the train company's page is right. Tell us and we'll fix it.
