How much is one journey worth on my annual Season Ticket?
Short answer
Check Your DelayOn most train companies, 1/464 of the price. On a £4,640 annual Season Ticket that's £10 a journey, and arriving 42 minutes late pays 50% of it: £5.
What you'd get

Delay Repay 15, the scheme most train companies use. Example: on a £20.00 Single that's £10.00; on a £30.00 Return it's £7.50. Your fare will differ.
The rule
A Season Ticket isn't priced per journey, so each train company divides the price by a set number of journeys. The usual Delay Repay bands then apply to that value, based on how late you reached your destination.
Check before you claim
- Each delayed journey is its own claim, within 28 days of that journey.
- Some companies cap a day: Southeastern at the return journey rate, and South Western Railway at two single journeys for one delay.
- West Midlands Railway and London Northwestern Railway value a day's travel instead of one journey.
