My train was cancelled the day before. Is that Delay Repay?
Short answer
Check Your DelayUsually not. A train taken out of the timetable before the day isn't counted as a cancellation. If you decided not to travel, ask whoever sold you the ticket for a full refund instead.
The rule
Train companies treat the timetable as settled at 22:00 the evening before. A train removed before then isn't a cancellation, and any delay is measured against the revised timetable.
Check before you claim
- Cancelled on the day? That counts: claim for how late you reached your destination.
- You can have a refund or Delay Repay, not both.
- Ask for the refund within 28 days of the day you meant to travel. Season Tickets have their own refund rules.
